Column Limit?

Brand new to Honeycode as we assess it against Airtable, Appsheet, Powerapps, etc.

The "try it free" seemed to be a great way to assess, but I'm stumped on the first step of our first sample app.

We have existing .CSV exports of our Customers and Items database, but when I try to import the .CSV file as a table it says: "Whoa! This file exceeds the max of 100 columns per table."

We're not going to actually need all 100 columns for the sample app. Is there no way to import the .CSV files without going back and regenerating the export?

Thanks!

Hi @Chri-2bb3, welcome to the community, and thanks for posting!

For Honeycode, you'll want to set up data models, in which there are data relationships between different tables. Here's an article around data modeling that helps show what these relationships look like: Data Modeling 101. (The cleaner the data model, the easier it is to create an app).

This means that if you have a large Excel sheet, you may be able to separate the columns into different sheets that would better suit a data model in Honeycode. (You'll want to have several tables of data that relate to each other, rather than only one large one).

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any further questions around this. :honey_pot: :honeybee:
