Copy row to another table

I have a screen which will return all of the columns for a user if the last name is selected for the rowlink.

I'd like to be able to take all of the data for this filtered user and copy the entire row from one table to another (I'm creating an "Archive" table). Do I need to do individual "write to Column" for each in the Archive table for the automation? Hoping that's not the case as I have about 30 columns to copy over.

Hi @BradArtman, welcome to the community! :honeybee:

For this, rather than having an Archive table, you can indicate the status of a record within the same User table.

I would create a Status table like this:

In your User table, add a Status column which is a rowlink to the Status table:

Then in the app, if you wish to archive a row, add a button on a details screen that overwrites the status to "Archived":

With this, you could then simply sort a list to display only "Active" or "Archived" user records:

You can also add in-app user controls to filter by status as well:

This would be a cleaner data model, since the data would be organized in the same table and can be filtered by different criteria.

Hope this helps! :honey_pot:

Excellent. Thanks a ton!
