External API access without requirement to create app

Please provide the ability to access sheet data via your API without requiring the need to create an app or screen.

Most "normal" end-users (i.e. non-coders) can happily read/add/edit/delete (i.e. interact with) spreadsheets without additional training.

Forcing users or developers to create an app, and then providing access through a "screen" seems counter-intuitive to the end-goal - that of providing access to the external application.

The external application probably has no need for sheet data to be presented in that way. We should be able to access sheets with a sheet ID, rows with a Row ID, and then cells with an ID, or simply by accessing an array (of cells).
